My Story

Texas girl, through and through, I was born and raised in Houston, moved to the beautiful city of Austin in 2002. I attended Baylor University in Waco and I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Education from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin. I also have a Masters degree in Education from Concordia University Texas. I began planning my wedding in 2004, long distance (I got married in Houston), during my first year of teaching. It was a challenge and I loved every minute of it. I also had coordinator for the of month my wedding, whom I handed everything over to so I would not have to worry about a thing the month and day of my wedding. It was one of the best days of my life, seeing my vision come to life, watching my family have a blast, and best of all, marrying the man I loved.

Later, I wanted to do it all over again:) Not get married again myself, but plan weddings for other couples in love and have them experience what we experienced, pure joy on our wedding day! 

After 5 years of teaching Kindergarten, as much as I loved my students, my husband and I decided I would stay at home as we started our family. I was very passionate about teaching but I was more passionate about being a mom and being my childs first teacher. I took a leap of faith and began taking wedding planning courses to gain more business and event industry knowledge and in 2008 I was the proud owner of my very own event planning company. 

Hamilton Grace Events is the new name of my company and it is very meaningful to me.

The past few years of my life have been full of loss and love in my family. Storms and rainbows, but it has taught me more about what is most important in life. And for me those things are, God, my faith and trust and love for Him, my family, my daughter and my husband. I stand for everything good and right in the world and I know God is reason I am able to be here today. "For God so Loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting Life.” (John 3:16) Our world was built on LOVE.

I have been blessed to have a mentor and master creative mind in the wedding and event industry share her successes with me. She has taught me so much about the business and helped me to see things more clearly as it relates to my company and what I would like to achieve. She is inspiring and I am thankful that she decided to share her knowledge. 

Seeing people happy and seeing couples in love are the reasons I started this company. When I meet with client I establish a foundation of trust from the first meeting. It is essential to me they feel at ease and stress-free throughout the planning and design process. I have always been fascinated by interior design and decor since I was a child, and I use those instincts to help my couples select invitation designs, when giving suggestions and advice at dress fittings and to select rentals needed to style an amazing tablescape for a reception. Along with a great work ethic, I strive to relate to my clients in a way that shows how much I genuinely care about them and their vision for their event.
